Brooks Vaughn Fitzgerald

Brooks Vaughn Fitzgerald joined our family on July 23 at 7:11 p.m. He is absolutely perfect and weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20.5 inches long.   He had a head of dark hair (and hasn't lost any of it!)  We are completely smitten with this guy and love him so much.  

Labor was a little bit tougher this time around.  We were induced, as I was almost dilated to a 4 at 38.5 weeks.  I was in labor for about 11 hours and only pushed for about 20 minutes.  What made this round a bit different from the first was that my epidural quit working right when I was dilated to a 10.  Thankfully, after 10 minutes of strong contractions, the CRNA was able to give me a bolus to get me through.  

Our little guy was (of course) worth every bit of it.  He is so laid back and I didn't think it was possible, but he's a better baby than Reese. (And that sweet girl was a good baby.). He has a fussy period every night from about 6-9, but that's the only thing that upsets him.  He cries when he's hungry, and that's about it!!   We love this sweet boy so very much and have snapped tons of pictures the first two months of his life.   He'll have to get use to that camera!!

Our Last Days as a Family of Three...

When you're in your last month of pregnancy, and that month is July, one would think you wouldn't get off the couch. However, when you have a 22 month old, you do your best to fill your days with activities and fun things to do.  I did come down with an upper respiratory infection and sinus infection that lasted about 3 weeks and really slowed me down, but we still managed to soak up some good fun before the arrival of our sweet baby boy. 

Matt and I went to see Pat Green and Darius Rucker at the new AMP.

 

 

I closed out my sales for the month of June and enjoyed catching up with these beauties before taking maternity leave.

 

 

We went to the LPGA out at Pinnacle one weekend

 

Reese took swimming lessons at Swim Ranch again and did GREAT!!

Her favorite part...play time!  :)

 

We enjoyed summer nights on the patio.

It's no secret that I am WAY behind on blogging!!  I'm  really hoping to catch up before all the Fall fun begins.  Brooks has arrived safely and is 6 weeks old.  We are IN LOVE with our little guy and I hope to do a blog post about his delivery and arrival very soon.  In the meantime, here are our maternity pictures, taken at the end of June.
