San Antonio for Spring Break

We had a great time during Spring Break.  I decided that a trip to San Antonio would be a lot of fun for our crew.  I had never been there, but wanted to go stay down on the Riverwalk and see some of the history. We stayed at the Omni Mansion and our hotel room was about 20 feet from the water, and the kids loved it.

Tuesday night, we went to the kids first NBA game and watched the Spurs play the Mavs. Although the Spurs lost by less than 10, it was a great game and we had the BEST time.  Brooks was in heaven!🏀

We went to see the Alamo and the San Fernando Cathedral, where Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie's remains are. I loved learning about the history!  We ate lunch at Rainforest Cafe' that afternoon and then got to meet up with Larry and Mary Kay, and Jade and Winston. (Matt's cousins.) It was SOO good to see them and catch up for a little bit. We enjoyed lots of conversation and some good Mexican food too. Of course, every spare moment we had, the kids wanted to go to the pool.  So we made time for that every day.

One of the highlights of our trip was going to Sea World. We were able to swim with a beluga whale, named Martha.  The water was cold, but I loved getting to have an up close interaction with this magnificent animal. She gave us kisses, waved, and was so sweet. She was 34 years old. (Most beluga whales only live to be between 30-35 years old.)

We ate dinner at Chart House our last night there. We picked it more for the experience than the food, although both were good. The kids loved that it was a tall tower that slowly spun around while we ate.

On the way down, we stopped in Rockwall and got to have dinner and see the Harrison's and the Melcher's. It was such a fun night and so good to see them. On the way back we stopped in Waco and ate at Magnolia Table and visited the Silos.

We stayed the night in Dallas again, and had dinner with Clay, Jeni, and the boys. I'm so glad we tagged a few nights on at the beginning and the end of our trip to see friends.

We had such a great trip.  I love making memories with this little family of mine.
