I’m not sure how we have a teenager in the house now….
Reese, Shep, and Kate all have birthdays within days of each other, so we try to have a little neighborhood celebration every year.
For Reese’s 13th birthday party, we decided a scavenger hunt at the mall with her friends and then dinner at Local Lime would make for a very fun afternoon. The winners of the hunt received Swig gift cards (but of course I bought one for everyone.😉) This is the sweetest group of girls and it’s such a blessing that they have one another.
Aven Reese, 13 years has gone too fast. Watching you grow is like standing at the edge of something beautiful and bittersweet all at once. You’re growing into yourself with a strength, kindness, and spark that amazes me daily, and my love for you somehow expands right along with your independence. I am so proud of who you are becoming - your heart, your humor, your courage - I hope you always know that no matter how much you grow, you will forever be our baby girl. Our love for you is steady and unconditional, a constant that you can always come back to, now and in every chapter ahead. Keep shining your light and following Jesus. We love you forever!!
One more thing, your 13th birthday trip will be in NYC and we cannot wait to celebrate!!! 🎉
