Charleston Girls Trip - September 2021

 As 2022 begins, I hope I can do a better job of blogging all that goes on with my sweet crew. But one of the highlights of this past year that I want to make sure I capture is our girls trip to Charleston, South Carolina.  We were supposed to go to NYC for my 40th birthday, but...COVID. 😖 So instead, we booked at trip that turned out to be just wonderful. 

We stayed at Hotel Bennett. It was absolutely perfect.  The champagne bar, Camellias, was one of our favorites. We would go there every afternoon before going out to dinner. The lighting was gorgeous. ⭐ We had brunch at Poogan's Porch and Miller's All Day, spent an afternoon at the Charleston Harbor, walked to Rainbow Row, took a historic carriage ride through the city, and had chocolate martinis at Carmella's Cafe and Dessert Bar. 

We enjoyed dinner at Husk and had Italian another night, at Indaco. We also toured the Magnolia Plantation and had the best time on a walking ghost tour our last night there. King street was full of quaint bookstores and wonderful shopping.  It was the perfect trip with my favorite girls. 💓

The Beach is Our Happy Place

 In June of 2021, we went back to Gulf Shores as a party of 16 again.  It was so much fun and we all make such amazing memories when we are there.  Here is a fantastic photo dump. 😉

 

December 31st....

Well, here we are getting ready to ring in 2022. 😊 Time tends to just go faster and faster.  Maybe it's because I haven't been writing on here much the last 6 months, therefore everything in my memory runs together.  Or perhaps life is truly just flying by. We are home tonight, with our two biggest blessings and Rocky, just watching football games. There is no other place I would rather be.  

Matt and I went to the Undercroft last night and then had dinner at AOI sushi.  It was a wonderful night out for us. 

I think we are all excited for what this next year will bring.  We are praying for health and happiness for all of you.  But most of all, I pray that each of you know how much God loves you.  My word this year is GRATITUDE.  I want to focus on all the good that the Lord has provided me with, and never forget all of His blessings.
