We Don't Want Summer to End

We've had so much fun this summer. I'm going to try to capture as much as I can in the photos below. We went to SDC on a random Wednesday and it was perfect. No lines, great weather, and lots of fun.

The kids rode Thunderation right before this picture (bc we made them.) They hated the rollercoaster and their faces are just priceless.

Fourth of July fun in the hood, after coming back from the beach. It's my favorite holiday to celebrate with neighbors.  So many fun activities and an amazing firework show every year.

Reese had lots of fun with a back-to-school party with friends in August.

Kim, Mandy, and I took the kids to Blue Hole one day to swim and then we walked to the Bend for a late lunch, Jenga, and corn hole. It was such a great day.

I went to Snoop Dogg with Jules and had a blast meeting new friends, Jennie and Laura.

Matt and I enjoyed a few date nights with friends and by ourselves at Tacos and Tamales, AOI Sushi, and Crepes Paulette while the kids were at Cousin Camp.

Matt and I celebrated 14 years together at Bonefish💗

Lots of fun was had, and I can't believe school and routine has started back. Fall 2023...here we go!

BOSTON 2022

Last Summer, Matt and I celebrated our 13th anniversary in Boston.  To be honest, we had flight credits that we were trying to use stateside and neither of us had been. Matt's always wanted to go to Fenway Park, and we both love history, so Boston it was!  We had SUCH A GREAT TRIP!  It really exceeded my expectations, and I might love this city now, more than NYC. 😬 We were there this exact date last year, so I wanted to make sure I captured our adventures.

Boston was beautiful, and so clean!  We went to the Boston Public Library the afternoon we landed, and then had dinner at Toscano (which was amazing.) We stayed at the Lenox Hotel. One of the oldest boutique hotels in the city. It was DREAMY⭐

We went to a Red Sox game and Matt got to check the Big Green Monster off of his bucket list. The icing on the cake was the WIN against the Brewers!

On August 1, the night of our anniversary, we ate at an extraordinary restaurant called Mistral. It was by far one of the best places I've ever eaten.

The next day we walked around the Boston Public Gardens. Afterwards, we walked the Freedom Trail. Granary Burying Grounds, the Old State House, the site of the Boston Massacre, the home of Paul Revere, and the Old North Church were some of the most interesting to me.

Stopped at Sam Adams brewery to cool off half way through our tour.

Old North Church - famous for its role in Paul Revere's midnight ride.

Old State House, where the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed

We were pretty tired from walking the entire Freedom Trail, so we stopped at the ever famous CHEERS for a cold beverage.  It's not at all what I pictured, but we loved it.

Our last day we toured the USS Constitution, the oldest warship in the US Navy and the oldest commissioned ship that is still afloat in the world. George Washington authorized the construction of this ship in 1794.

Afterwards, we had lunch in the Boston Harbor then went to see Bunker Hill Monument. Bunker Hill marks the first major battle of the American Revolution in 1775.

I loved this city and this trip SO much.  We really had the most amazing time exploring a new place together. Cheers to 13 years together, my love! Can't wait for our next adventure.
