Valentine's Day

This year for Valentine's Day we had planned to go to Monroe to see Matt's family.  Well, I came down with a stomach bug the day before we left, and Matt's sister, Emily and Olivia Kate (her oldest), ended up having the flu.  We made the call to reschedule.  We're going to go during Spring Break now, which I think will work out perfectly.

SO...here I was thinking, "YES! We don't need Valentine's, I don't have to help decorate boxes! SWEET!  Best V-day EVER."  WRONG!  Now we have to get all this done within 24 hours of all the parties.  Cue all the chaos of trying to accomplish this.  Thanks to Mimi, Reese had a pink/red decorated box that she put stickers all over and my sweet Brooks was happy with a brown paper bag with big monsters on it.  (Total MOM FAIL)

The one great thing was that Matt and I had already asked off for Valentine's Day, so he and I got up and went to breakfast at the Buttered Biscuit, after dropping the kids off at school.  We both came back home and curled up to watch some CPD before heading to the kids parties.  It turned out to be a great day.  Brooks had one party on the 13th.  Then, on the 14th, Reese had her party first, and we went to Brooks (2nd) party after that.  We finished it off with ordering pizza and staying in with our little crew that night.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Reese's First Grade Musical

Our sweet girl performed at the first grade musical at Evening Star.  It consisted of fairytale musicals and each student was encouraged to dress as a character. Reese wanted to be Little Red Riding Hood. (thanks to Amazon Prime, she was PERFECTLY dressed and ready.)

January...in a Nutshell

Well, the past two months seemed to move so slow to me, yet how is it almost the end of February.  It is February 22 and I am finally starting to feel like myself again.  January was a very difficult month for me.  I had a relapse with the pneumonia that I had last November which resulted in rocephin shots daily and another strong antibiotic. The CT scan that I had done on my lungs happen to show something else...a 2 cm mass on my liver. After handing all of this over to God and praying that this liver lesion was not malignant, another scan showed it to be fatty liver and nothing of concern.  I do need to watch my diet more closely and get back to working out, but I am just so thankful that this health scare is behind me.

Despite not feeling 100%, we've managed to make a lot memories and have a lot of fun.

Kyndall, Brandi, and I went to see WICKED at the Robinson Theater in LR.

Bustin' out our Sunday best (with Forky of course)

The kids celebrated our sweet neighbors turning 5 - Happy Birthday James and Olivia!!

We KINDA had a snow day.

Our sweet cousin Evie Rose celebrated turning 4 on January 21.  We went to Little Rock on the 25th for her roller skating party.  It was so much fun.  I think Matt and I had more fun skating than the kids did.  Happy Birthday Evie!  We love you so much!

Always and forever the Garner Girls

Sweet boy started running a fever when we got home from Little Rock.  I'm going to guess it's pure exhaustion.

Shenanigans with Cousins are the BEST

Matt went to get his enhanced concealed carry license one Saturday so I took the kids to Crystal Bridges and then to see the movie Dr. Dolittle.  It was the cutest movie and the kids loved getting to draw and create pictures at the museum.

Reese celebrated the 100th day of school.

On Super Bowl Sunday, our life group got together to watch the game and all the kiddos made blessing bags for the homeless.  It was a fun night!  And the KC Chiefs WON!!

Reese lost her second tooth!!

And a few more pictures...just because I love these two so much!!
