Holiday House

Reese and I had the best weekend in Little Rock with some of my favorite people!!  Matt had to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so we took advantage of getting out of town and enjoying a trip back "home."  It's crazy to me that we hadn't been back since the weekend we moved in July.  I guess things have just been so busy between buying a house, starting new jobs, planning a first birthday for Lil' Miss, and everything else in between.  Needless to say, it was a FABULOUS weekend.

Reese and I drove in Friday morning and met Kyndall for lunch at Sushi Cafe' - a favorite that I have been missing tremendously.  It was as good as ever (maybe better, since I'm not spoiled with it on a weekly basis anymore. :))  After lunch, we headed to Holiday House downtown.  Kyndall and I have  made this a tradition and we always have so much fun.  (Side note: There were a lot of clothes this year... not cool...I prefer more of the décor, jewelry, and Christmas gift ideas personally.)  However, we both still found a few things and had a blast.

Someone thought they were big stuff in Santa's chair!!

Friday night was perfect.  We stayed in at Kyndall and Blake's, ordered pizza, and watched Elf.  This gave Reese time to run around and let all that energy out that was bubbled up from a 3 hour car ride and sitting in a stroller.  Adam and Ashley joined us too.  (The boys were a little late getting home because Blake shot an 8 point buck that afternoon!!)  YAY UNCLE BLAKE!!

Saturday morning we lounged around and I made sure Reese fit in a little morning nap before we girls headed out to shop!!  I will say that one thing I miss about Little Rock are the boutiques and stores.  Kyndall was sweet to let me run wild at some of the places I hadn't been to in a while.  Scarlet, The Toggery, JCrew, and Anthropologie were on the HIT list.  We caught up on some girl time, enjoyed some Starbucks, and found some goodies.  It was the best day I've had in a very long time!!  Just what my soul needed...some SISTER time!  (I also have to brag on Reese,  she was truly WONDERFUL all weekend.  She rolled with the punches and was so good!!!)

Reading with Uncle Blake in the morning.

Saturday night, we met some close friends at Local Lime for dinner.  (Another one of my FAVORITES in LR).  Ben took such good care of us and we had a great time catching up.  Afterwards, it was back to the house for a glass of wine and The Grinch.

This girl loves her Aunt Bee!!

And her Aunt Jules...SOOOO good seeing this girl!!

 GREAT NIGHT!

Sunday morning, Reese and I got on the road around 9:00 so that we could get back in time to go to LifeGroup with Matt.  We are thankful for a safe trip there and home.  Again, it truly was the best weekend!!  I miss my sister more than I ever imagined.  She is my best friend and our times together are priceless.  In fact, I cried for a good 30 minutes on the way home, thinking about how much I wish I could live in both places at the same time.  I am so glad that she is happy with her amazing husband, gorgeous home, successful job, and so much more.  If anyone on this earth deserves to be happy, it's Kyndall.  I sure do love you, sis!!  Thanks for a FABULOUS weekend!!  See you in 9 short days!!  Woo Hoo!!!

Random Gibberish

Yep!! It's getting close to that time...the HOLIDAYS!!  This is my favorite time of year, as the temperatures start to drop, hot cider warms on the stove, fireplaces roar, holiday scented candles burn, and my decorations begin to go up!  I have been hitting Hobby Lobby frequently to stock up on deco mesh and all sorts of fun.  My mom made our Christmas stockings this year, and I am in love with them!!

Work has been pretty stressful lately, and if you're a working Mama, you know how the corporate world can sometimes consume your thoughts.  I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who is always encouraging me and telling me how proud he is of my hard work.  I received these beauties last week....

We are loving our church and we placed membership last week.  Life group has been great so far (even though we've just joined), and we had a wonderful time at the Old Fashioned Church Social last Sunday.  Reese enjoyed a hay ride and some yummy home cooked food, pies, and everything else you can imagine.

Monday, Landon celebrated his 32nd birthday!!  I ordered a big cookie for tonight before church.  Mom's picking it up and we hope to celebrate a little bit!!

Happy Birthday little bro!!

Our sweet munchkin continues to entertain us daily.  Bless her heart!!  She's had a few molars coming in and has been a teeny bit on the fussy side.  Who am I kidding?!?  Mama's gray hairs are sprouting gray hairs!  The past few days have been rough, but here's hoping for a good weekend!

The usual...into EVERYTHING!  :))

Unless she is sleeping soundly...sweet angel!!

This weekend Reese and I are headed to Little Rock for Holiday House.  Actually, we're headed to see Aunt Bee and Uncle Black...HH is just a plus!  I'm hoping to fit in a couple of great restaurants and some boutique shopping as well, but you never know with a one-year old!!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Fall Fun

Well, it's no secret that I've been a horrible blogger lately.  I cannot complain, life has just been keeping us busy...things are great!! Work is going good. I'm still getting the hang of this wonderful new territory and focusing on building relationships with new physicians.  Matt is almost done with his orientation in the ICU (yes it's a 3 month orientation, so you know these guys are trained well :)) and he has just started working nights.  BOO!! I will say I am not a fan of sleeping without my main squeeze by my side every night, but it's the job.  I'm so proud of him and all the long hours he works for our little family.

Reese is growing like a weed and (if it's possible) we fall more in love with her every day. She's into giving high fives, blowing kisses, and waving to EVERYBODY!! She is no longer a baby, but this sweet little personality that keeps us constantly laughing!!  Here are a few pictures of life lately....

We had a blast at Craft Fairs this year!  Kyndall and Aunt Patti came in town to have some fun with us!!

After a long day of crafting, we had the whole family over for football and pizzas.  Uncle Jack, Aunt Patti, and Michael were in town and these kiddos kept everybody entertained.

I went to OKC for meetings for 4 days with this great group.  We girls can always make work fun!
(Shout out to Lambert...fabulous photo bomb!)

Bowling with the team!

So happy to be home to this smiling face after a LONG week out of town!!

Mimi and Pawpaw are ROCKSTARS!! They kept all four kiddos so that Landon and Brandi could go to KC for the weekend and so that Matt and I could enjoy a date night at Theo's with the Spillyard's.

My favorite thing about mornings at our house.  If Reese gets up super early, we let her have her milk in our bed and watch Disney.  This is usually what happens :)  Melts my HEART!!

I love this little smile!!

We had our family fall pictures taken on October 26. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good one!

One of my favorite pictures of her this fall....

Halloween 2013 - Reese was a ladybug!!

Poor thing had an ear infection, so we kept our trick-or-treating to a minimum, before going out for pizza with Mimi and Pawpaw and the Honea's.

We got to see these sweet candy corn princesses!!

And we loved trick-or-treating at Mamaw's too!
(We had to do a costume change, because Reese was over the hat and wings!)

Visiting Pawpaw and Landon at the Lumberyard!!

I have to throw this in.... Kyndall and Blake had a Halloween party in LR (which I wish we could've gone to) and they were Spartan cheerleaders from SNL!!  Isn't this fantastic!?!

Happy Halloween!!!

November is going to be a fun month and we are all getting excited about the Holidays coming up!!  I'm going to try to do a little better about blogging.  I want to remember every bit of what our munchkin is up to these days!!
