Birthdays and Everything In Between

If I'm being honest, the winter months at the first of the year are tough.  We've all come down from the high of Christmas, it's so cold outside, and there's nothing to look forward to until Spring Break. (Sorry...negative Nelly here)

But below are a few pictures that capture some fun we've been having this year.

Matt went duck hunting with his Monroe boys.

We celebrated Matt turning 46 with dinner at Bonefish and a fun night with neighbors.

We went to Little Rock to celebrate Evie's birthday at Urban Air.  Kyndall and I snuck out for a margarita and shopping.

Dallas' 40th birthday was in February, so a big group of us went out and celebrated him in downtown Bentonville.

This year I received a big promotion at work. I have some amazing work peeps who wanted to celebrate.  Ashley and Bennet Lifland are two of my favorite people in the world who are on our LR team.  They've always encouraged and supported me in every professional endeavor.  They drove to NWA and we went to the Momentary bar for drinks and then to dinner at AOI Sushi. It was a blast!

Reese's 4th Grade Pirates Musical

The fourth grade classes at Evening Star worked with Ms. Simpson to put on a Pirates musical. Reese tried out for a "non-bearded pirate" part. I told her even if she didn't get it, I was so proud of her for trying out.  She's a go-getter and I love it. Reese got the part and did a fabulous job, and we all had fun watching her and the entire 4th grade perform.

So proud of you, sis!!

2022 Concerts

We made some great memories at the Amp during the Summer of 2022. We went to see Kenny Chesney with all of our neighbors in June, and had seats in the PIT.  Then, we saw James Taylor with my brother, sister, Brandi, and Blake.  Lastly, Matt and I had tickets to see Blues Traveler, Jewel, and Train. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite, they were all SO good!  We are so blessed to have the Amp in our backyard (less than 3 miles away.)

We went to grab drinks and appetizers at Bonefish before the James Taylor concert, then we walked over to the Amp. This was the 3rd time Matt and I have seen him in concert...he never disappoints and is always just amazing.

Girls Trip to Kansas City (June 2022)

Lindsey, Leslie, Tara and I decided we needed to get out of town.  We try to do dinner together at least once every few months, but it's just so much more fun when we're in a new place.  So, we decided to go to KC for a quick 36 hours away. (Literally...one night!).  We stayed at a hotel close to downtown and had drinks at Julep, then ate dinner at Gram and Dun, then came back to our hotel and had drinks at the bar.  It wasn't long, but it was so much fun!!

Spring of 2022

As I look back on last year, it really was a wonderful year!❤️  We were able to experience lots of adventures, but yet also able to enjoy the normal days.  This post is going to be a hodgepodge of pictures, so here we go.

Spring Break was spent in LA with our Monroe cousins, and then a little bit of fun with our AR crew. We love our built-in BEST FRIENDS.

Easter Sunday fell on my birthday last year.  I felt so very blessed to be able to celebrate on the same day as the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  After church, we went to Mom and Dad's for lunch and birthday cake.

Brooks performed his first grade musical, Once Upon A Fairytale, and did a great job!!

Brooks played baseball again in the Spring, and had a regular fan club.  What made this season so special was that he and Levi were on the same team because Garrett and Matt coached together. 😍

Matt and I went to see Garth Brooks in concert in Fayetteville🎵

On Mother's Day, we had Mom and Dad, the Shelby's, and Landon and Brandi's crew over to celebrate.
It was a great day of being together.

We went to a Natural's game in April of last year to listen to Emma's class sing the National Anthem. I love a good baseball game!

Lastly, we had our Spring piano recital. Both of the kids did great!!

We had so many things going on at the end of the school year. Good times, but we were ALL ready for summer!
