Miss Cameron’s Wedding

Reese’s sweet Kindergarten teacher married the PE Coach at Central Park on Saturday, May 25.  They not only invited the entire Kindergarten class and their families, but also asked the Kindergarteners to sing at the wedding😱.  You guys...it was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen.  At first I thought to myself... “WOW, she is really brave!”  But when I heard them sing at rehearsal, it brought tears to my eyes.  Miss Cameron is one in a million in my opinion.  We have been so very blessed to have her as Reese’s teacher this year and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Brooks will get her too. 😉

 (At rehearsal the night before)

The kids also surprised Miss Cameron with her gift of her KitchenAid mixer and a spa day at Premier.

It really was a perfect and magical year!!! We love Miss Cameron!!

Brooks' Pre-School Graduation

My sweet Brooks Vaughn...how are you getting ready to turn 5 years old?  You had a great year in your Pre-K4 class at His House and I'm so grateful for Ms. Valarie and Miss Kaitlyn.  You've grown strides this year, academically and socially.  You look forward to going to school and your favorite things this year were, "playing in centers, seeing your friends, and going outside to play."  I will admit that I am so happy you will have one more year in the Pre-K Bridge class before going on to Kindergarten.  Being that you don't turn 5 until the end of July, we feel confident that another year of growth will be best.  Honestly, I can't begin to imagine you going to Kindergarten. I just can't wrap my Mama head around it yet. So thankful for just one more year of Pre-school, my sweet boy!!

Central Park Kindergarten Bugz Play

It’s hard to believe that Reese’s first year of Kindergarten is over.  I say it often, but I don’t know where the time goes.

The Kindergarteners performed an end of the year Bugz Play at the Arend Art Center and it was the cutest thing I’ve seen.  Afterwards, they had a picnic for families back at CPE.  It was a stormy and rainy day, so we celebrated inside.  I’m so thankful for the extra mile these teachers went to put on such a great performance.  I will remember it forever. In the videos below, you will see Reese on the front row in the center of the stage. 😍

What can I say? The girl likes to sing....❤️

Reese's Spring Piano Recital

Sunday afternoon, May 19, Reese had her Spring piano recital and she played Fuzzy Wuzzy.  She has done so good this year and really seems to like it.  I started taking piano when I was 5 and took all the way until high school graduation.  My hope is that both of my children will do the same.

Reese got a little trophy for completing her first year and I can’t say enough good things about her wonderful teacher, Miss Summer.  She is so talented and I’m thankful for all she does to teach my sweet girl.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day weekend was wonderful.  Friday night I went to the ladies retreat at church and was able to hear Lori Wood speak.  It was a wonderful night of fellowship and worship.

Saturday, I took Reese and Brooks up to the farm to play with Evie and Garner (Kyndall and Blake were in town to celebrate for a Razorback game).  Sunday, we all went to church together and then everyone came to our house for lunch.  It was a beautiful, sunny day and I loved spending it with my amazing Mama and the two precious blessings that made me a Mom.

Goodness I love them!

So very thankful for this amazing woman I get to call Mom.

Gone Too Soon

Our world lost a beautiful soul on May 8. Shelby, you lit up a room with your zest for life and bright smile. These are the things in life that I don’t understand.
What I do know is that when I am discouraged or sad, I put my hope in God and His promises. I have faith that His plan is so much greater than ours. Praying for strength, peace, and understanding for her sweet boys and her Mama and Daddy. Love you sweet friend! ❤️

Easter Sunday

I love Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day this year, unlike the previous that have been cold and rainy.  We had a perfect morning at church, praising God for our risen Savior.  After church, we went up to Mom and Dad’s farm and had a delicious lunch (think brisket, homemade mashed potatoes, cream corn, French bread, jello salad, carrot casserole, broccoli and rice casserole, and desserts.). Oh it was so good!! The weather was perfect for flying kites, and we had a great time hunting Easter eggs too. So thankful for a beautiful day!
