Big Time in Branson

We had the best time in Branson this month. Last year, we found this little tucked away gem, called the Marriott Willow Ridge. We stayed there and fell in love with it. We stay in condos with a kitchenette and washer/dryer. (A definite must for a mom of toddlers.)  We grill out and eat at the snack bar and spend our days swimming and soaking up the sunshine.

This year, the Harrison's drove up from LA and stayed with us. Reese and Annah Kate had such a fun time together. We started our long weekend off at Cantina Laredo for lunch (one of my favorites) and walked around the Landing. We later checked in and made our giant grocery run, then ate every meal at the resort from there on out. Matt and Clay grilled chicken and veggies, steaks and corn on the cob, the kiddos grilled hot dogs at the fire pit...we weren't hurting for good food. ;)  The only time I left was to run to the outlet malls with Katie to grab some polo shirts for the boys and a few Disney treats for the kids. We spent our days swimming, lounging by the pool, taking naps, playing outside, and just enjoying being away from the every day schedule we keep at home.  We can't wait to go back again next year!

We drove home on June 19, Father's Day.  We took our wonderful Daddy to breakfast at Panera and surprised him with tickets to Mercy Me in July and some sweet cards. He's the greatest Dad there is to these two little ones.  They are beyond blessed to have him.  We love you so much and thank God every day that you are ours!!!

A Jammin' June

June started off with a bang!!  The weather was great and we've been having lots of fun.  Reese and Brooks are at such a fun age right now.... They love being outside, blowing bubbles, playing in the water, going to the playground, and we've had our first trip to the pool now.  Reese loved it, Brooks makes me a nervous wreck.  I can see many evenings at our neighborhood pool in our future. :)

The first weekend in June, we had a great time with Amie and Poppy in town.  We enjoyed Chuy's for dinner, Brooks partied at Little Gym, Poppy worked in our garden, Amie read lots of books, we grilled steaks and shrimp on Saturday and just had a good time being together.

The rest of these pictures are just fun moments I've captured this month. We are loving soaking up these beautiful summer days.

Brooks in his new Bible class at church.  They promote at the end of May, and he's loving it!

Playing in the Rain

Date Night with this handsome guy!  We went to Core Brewery in Rogers and then to Bonefish for dinner.

The first of many nights at the neighborhood pool.

My BIG almost 2 year old...he is growing too fast.

My BIG 3 year old, before Sunday school one morning.

B-man wearing Paw-paw's sunglasses :)

And yes...at 23 months old, he will still fall asleep in my arms.

One evening after baths, I came in to find Reese reading to Brooks in her bed. It melted my Mama heart.

We are trying our hand at a garden this year, and so far...so good.  Reese loves to help Daddy water it, because then it means she gets to play in the water :)

I couldn't resist...those sweet baby lips...

Picnics on the patio in our PJ's

Lake fun in OK with my fabulous work peeps ;)

Reese's 2nd Dance Recital

Our sweet little bride danced in the recital this year, on June 11th, to "Going to the Chapel." It was a precious ballet that was absolutely hilarious.  All of the girls were 3-4 years old, and they were just the cutest.  Tessa Foster and I were class moms, so we were in charge of snacks, drinks, entertainment, and watching these little nuggets for the entire performance. Woo!!!  Let's just say after all was said and done, I was ready for a glass of wine!  We love KDA and especially Ms. Laine!  We're taking a break for the summer, but can't wait to get back to dancing in the fall.
