Girls Trip - NKOTB

This past week I met Kim and Amanda in Tulsa for 48 hours of pure bliss!!  There is something so refreshing about a girls trip, especially with these ladies.  We were missing Lauren, so our crew wasn't complete, but we had a wonderful time and I loved every second.

Amanda and I met Kim Wednesday afternoon and we checked into Aloft Hotel in downtown Tulsa. We grabbed a quick bite at the Boiler Room and then headed to see Paula Abdul, Boyz II Men, and NKOTB in concert.  They were AWESOME. We never sat down, danced until my feet hurt, and then went back to the hotel and ordered pizza at midnight.  We stayed up until almost 2:00 in the morning talking and laughing...some things never change. :)

Thursday morning, we slept in (until 8:00...that's Mom life for ya) and went to brunch at The Wild Fork and spent the morning shopping at Utica Square.  We went to Ulta and had our brows done and then spent the afternoon shopping at Nordstrom Rack.  We ate an early dinner of sushi, stocked up on snacks, and headed to Kim's parents' lake house for some relaxation.

After staying up again until almost 2:00 talking, we finally crashed.  Kim's sweet Mama drove up to the lake house in the morning and made us breakfast (just like she use to in college).  We had pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit, eggs...you name it and she was making it.  We love her!!

These girls are one of a kind and I love them like sisters!!  I'm thankful for our friendship every day!  Amanda and I got to stop at Emily's on the way home and I got to meet sweet baby Luke.  What a little angel!!

It was a wonderful and refreshing few days. I always say that these girls are good for my soul.  They truly are. #soulsisters

Mother's Day 2017

This year, Mother's Day was wonderful.  It started with getting to go to the kids school for Muffins with Mom and then to Brooks' Mother's Day tea. I love these kiddos so much, and it was such a wonderful day!!  They also surprised me with some precious keepsakes.

Sunday, Matt surprised me with a gift card for a spa day and the kids made me homemade cards.  I can't think of anything better than something they made themselves. It's absolutely priceless!

Sunday after church, Mom and Dad treated our whole crew to Mother's Day brunch at Houlihan's.  I had never eaten there, but it was great.  What was even better, was that we had our own private room so after the kids ate, they ran around like wild animals. We were all able to visit and celebrate our sweet Mama.  It was so nice having the whole crew there.

My Instagram SHOUT OUT to the best Mom in the world!

I'm so thankful to be a Mommy!  Times can be tough, and when they say the days are long but the years are short, I couldn't agree more! Cherishing all these special days and moments with my crew is the most important thing in the world to me.

Family Pictures...My Takes!

We were all in town for Kayla's wedding on May 12, so my Mom took advantage of the opportunity for a family picture.  We all went to Crystal Bridges, Saturday, and had pictures taken. It's always a fete to take a picture with 6 small kiddos, but we're hoping for one good one. Here are some random, fun moments that I captured. I can't wait to see the professional proofs!!

The BEST Weekend

Last Saturday, Matt and I got up early and drove to Little Rock. My Mom and Dad were so sweet to keep the kids, so that we could go and spend some time with Blake and Bee. The Finnell's kept Evie, so it was an adults only day/night.  We met them at Local Lime for lunch, then Kyndall and I got to spend the day shopping...just like old times.  The boys went and bought outdoor t.v.'s and then went back to the house to chill.  Kyndall and I had the best time shopping at the Promenade - you see, this is what she and I use to do almost every Saturday before we were married, had kids, and before we moved to NWA.  Some of my fondest memories are of she and I meeting at Red Door for brunch, enjoying a Bloody Mary on the patio, and then going shopping for the rest of the day. It was just what we did.

We laughed the entire day, caught up on the latest and greatest "news," and then went back to their house in Maumelle to relax and get ready for dinner. Kyndall surprised us with a big cookie to celebrate our weekend together...of course it was almost gone within 24 hours.

That night, we went to dinner at Ocean's in West LR.  It was delicious!  Alex is the sushi chef who we LOVE and he always spoils us!  After dinner, we went down to the Heights to the Fringe Decade Party.  Our sweet friend Ellis invited us, and it was so good to see some old faces.  Around 9:00, we decided to go down to SO, to have a drink with desserts.  I forget how much I miss these restaurants in Hillcrest.  It was so nice to catch up with Jules and Jason.  We were home by 11:00, when the storms moved in.  It was the perfect sleeping weather!!

I am so thankful for time with my sis and brother-in-law.  They are two of my favorite people in the world, and I cherish the memories we get to make.  It was a wonderful 24 hours, that was good for my soul. I can't wait to see them again next weekend, with their precious little nugget. :)
