More Family Fun...

I absolutely love weekends with family!!!  This one we spent on the road quite a bit, but got to spend a lot of time with lots of people we love. Matt and I were both free on Friday and left Little Rock to head to Rogers around 11:00.  We took our time...stopped at Whattaburger in Russellville and then my sweet husband let me stop into my favorite boutique in Fayetteville...Masons.  And of course after a few purchases there, we were on our way to Landon's to love on our two sweet nieces.  Here are a couple of pictures from Friday night.  Mom and Dad came into town and we all had dinner at Landon and Brandi's.  Once again, I got to give Brynlee a bath, read to her before bed and lay her down.  I am REALLY getting in some good practice.

I had to post this picture first.  I pray that our children look exactly like my handsome husband!! Emma Grace loves him!

Brynlee doesn't quite get the pose and smile thing yet...she was way too busy playing and wasn't too into pictures.

I love this little rolly-polly!!  She's the happiest baby ever!

Brynlee Claire, such a big girl.

Saturday morning Matt and I got up and drove to Tulsa.  We really wanted to spend the day with Nana and Papaw.  We took them to lunch at Cheesecake Factory and then went back to their house for the big game.  The HOGS didn't win, but it was a great game!!

We had such a great afternoon!!  Sunday morning we went to church at Bentonville.  Emma slept in my arms the entire service - I was kind of a baby hog :)  Mamaw and Papaw were at church with us too because Landon was leading singing.  He always does such a great job (I'm just a little bit proud of him :)  Afterwards, we all went back to Mom and Dad's and grilled steaks and ate WAY too much.  Jocelyn joined us too.

The girls...Lola, we missed you!!

Such a busy bee...

Somebody's getting SO BIG!

It's weekends like this one that I cherish so much.  I am 30 years old and so blessed to have all of my grandparents in my life.  They are so special to me and as I get older I hope to keep all the memories we make very close to my heart.  I wouldn't trade the time I have with them for anything.

We are gearing up for another busy week around here...back to reality...school and work, just like the rest of the world.  Next weekend we are headed back to Rogers/Fayetteville for Sara and Curt's wedding.  It's going to be quite the shindig and we are getting very excited!

The month of October is completely booked for us, we have something every single weekend.  The roller coaster ride is about to begin once again...seat belts are fastened!

One Day Getaway

Today was such a great day!  We decided about a week ago that we would take off and make a day of it at the Memphis Zoo.  Matt has never been to Memphis, so I wish we could have stayed overnight and enjoyed some good food and Beale Street, but maybe next time.  Below are a few pictures from our little "one day getaway."  It was so nice because there was absolutely NO ONE there so we were able to get pretty close to a lot of the animals.

This big guy right here was the reason I wanted to come to the zoo.  Pandas are my absolute favorite and there are only 4 zoos in the U.S. that have them.

He even managed to flash me his pearly whites!

After eating a bit much as you can see, he was zonked out and adorable.

Seriously, this is how the little fella slept.

Matt wasn't crazy about posing, he turned around and I snapped one :)

Getting ready for the sea lion show

This little lady wanted to share her lunch.

Matt and I couldn't get over how HUGE this hippo was...his belly was inches from the ground.

This beautiful cat wouldn't quit staring at me and waving his tail.  I was thinking he must really like me...or maybe was just picturing me as his afternoon snack.

I didn't take too many pictures, just a couple to remember the day.  Matt and I had such a great time just being together.  We are now home with a fresh pizza from Dam Good Pies and curling up to watch Law and Order: SVU.  Tomorrow should be another great day.  We'll be sleeping in and then Matt's playing golf with the guys tomorrow afternoon and I'll be having lunch with the girls and shopping.  We are going to soak up these next couple of days without worrying about school or work :)

Dates, Parties, and Games

WOW, we 've been going non-stop this weekend!  I am absolutely exhausted.  Thankfully, I have meetings in Little Rock tomorrow and Tuesday and will not be traveling too much. Then, I am off work for 5 days!!  I love mini-vacations!!

Friday night Matt and I treated ourselves to a very nice date night at Sushi Cafe' (one of our favorites). It was amazing as always and we had such a nice time.  We were in bed early because Saturday morning we went down to the bridge for the JDRF Walk (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).  We had a booth set up for Lilly with lots of good information for all the sweet kids who were there.  It was a great turn out with over 4,000 people and Lilly was one of the main sponsors.  It's for such an awesome cause and I was glad to be a part of it again this year.

Matt and I behind the booth. (I have to brag on him...I work with my team on this event every year, so he doesn't have to be there.  But he's gone with me every time. He gets up early on his one day to sleep in and spends time with me.  I just LOVE this guy!!)

Luckily we were already wearing our Razorback red!  When the JDRF Walk was over (around 11:30) we went straight to our neighbors house to watch the HOGS take the DAWGS.  We ordered pizzas and enjoyed lots of food with everybody.  Thanks to Heather and Alex for hosting!!

We always have such a great time with our neighbors! Before I knew it, it was 6:00. We ran home, got cleaned up, then Matt and I headed over to Kristen and John David's engagement party.  Keith and Alana did a great job hosting.

The happy couple...we're excited for December 4!!

My HOT date!

We had a great time celebrating with everyone and didn't stay out too late.  This morning we slept in a little later than normal and went to late service at church.  We are normally 8:15ers but I have to admit it was kind of nice to sleep that extra hour.  Matt and I had some lunch at Cheeburger Cheeburger (it's been a while since we've been there) and we just woke up from a nap.  I love Sunday afternoons in the fall...windows open, football on the big screen, and sleep.  Perfect end to a perfect weekend.

We are already looking forward to next weekend.  We are headed to Rogers to see two of my favorite little people!!  Matt and I are going over to visit Nana and Papaw in Tulsa as well.  We are looking forward to a weekend of family and fun...AND to watching those HOGS beat BAMA!

HOG WILD!!!

We had an awesome weekend!!!  Matt and I started Friday night off eating at Bonefish (delicious!) I will never get tired of their bang-bang shrimp.  We came home afterward and decided to get in bed since we would be getting up early to go call the HOGS.  Well, of course, early to us is about 9:30 :)  The weather was rainy in the morning, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day at War Memorial.  We spent the afternoon with tons of friends and then watched the HOGS beat ULM.

HALF TIME

We had such a wonderful time with so many friends and the HOGS brought home another win!!

It's been a fun weekend and we are looking forward to getting through one more long week of work/school and then Matt is on fall break.  We're both pretty excited about some time away from reality.  Hope everyone has a great week!!
