A Whole Lot of Random

Well, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but this heat is absolutely exhausting!!  I have no desire to even go to our neighborhood pool, I just find myself wanting to be in air conditioning ALL THE TIME.  Yes!!  I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I'm 8+ months preggo, but I am already looking forward to cooler weather, football season, boots and everything about fall.

Unfortunately, I have been battling a slight viral infection this week and it's caused me to be extra tired and I'm constantly coughing.  Good news is the doctor thinks it should be cleared up within a  couple of days. Here's to hoping!

We got our glider in this week and it completes our nursery for sweet Baby Reese.  There are only a couple of other little things that we need.  I'll do a post soon of what the nursery looks like - I am still in love with it and so glad it's almost finished!!!

This week was my last FULL 5 days of work before going on maternity leave.  I have 12 more days in the field!  This is CRAZY to me!!  A part of me wonders what I will do with myself if I'm not in the field, on conference calls, analyzing my business or making sales calls?!?!   This is all I have known since I've graduated college!!  I love my job, but hopefully if everything goes as planned (and Reese isn't more than a week early), I will be able to enjoy this sweet angel and will be on leave until January 3, 2013.  Yes, I know what you're thinking and I DO WORK FOR AN AWESOME COMPANY!!    What excites me most is that I will be at home with Reese during the holidays (my FAVORITE time of year!!)

I've been thinking lately of some things that I really miss and look forward to getting back to as soon as this little munchkin makes her arrival.

  • I would be lying if I said that I didn't miss my old size 2 clothes.  I get it, people....my body will never be the same after having children and I don't expect things to begin to look "normal" again for months, but I CANNOT WAIT to get back into my clothes and work towards getting this body back to it's old size!!!
  • I miss running!!  I have never been some extraordinary athlete or one that can run marathons, but I miss my 2-3 mile jogs that I haven't done in almost 9 months.  I probably won't have the time to do these regularly when our angel gets here, but to BE ABLE to would be exciting!!!
  • I miss my heels!!!!  I have never been a fan of flats!  Thankfully, being pregnant in the summertime allows for lots of cute flat sandals.  I'm not an idiot...I know I won't be sporting my 3-4 inch heels while carrying Reese to run errands, but to just be able to wear them to work or to dinner makes me smile ;)
  • I have never had a problem with acid reflux or heart burn...until last week!!!  It keeps me awake at night and has really becoming annoying.  I will be glad to be DONE with that.
  • I am a stomach sleeper!  I would've done anything yesterday to have been able to curl up with a pillow on my stomach.  Can't wait to go back to my normal way of sleeping....when I have the time to sleep :))

These are just a couple of things that I miss while carrying this little blessing around.  I know it will all be worth it when she makes her arrival.  7 weeks to go!!!!

Happy Friday!!!!

Kyndall Is Engaged!!!

We've had an exciting weekend in Little Rock!!!  Friday night, Kyndall and Blake got engaged!!!  Matt and I have been anticipating this all week and helped Blake "set the scene" while they were out celebrating Kyndall's new job at Sushi Cafe'.  We all love Blake and I am so excited he will soon be a part of our family.  I couldn't have hand picked a better man for my sweet and beautiful sister!!

Charla and I, excited about the finished product!!

A big group of us went to Blake's house for an engagement celebration afterwards.  There were about 15 of us, and it was a wonderful night.

The delicious cupcakes Ashley brought!!

GORGEOUS!!

Telling the story...

What a great start to the weekend!!  Saturday, Matt and I slept in until almost 9:00, enjoyed some cinnamon rolls, and watched the British Open.  I talked him into going to Alley Oops for a late lunch and then we rented some movies for a night in.  It was so relaxing!!

Sunday, we had a great morning at church, enjoyed lunch at Big Orange, fit in a 2 hour nap, and did a little bit of shopping.  Since buying clothes these days is no fun at all, I've been looking at fall handbags.  I am IN LOVE with this new Coach legacy leather duffle.

I just can't decide what color?!?!

Hope you all had a great weekend!!  This girl is off to get ready for another week!!

32 Weeks!!!

Again, I can't believe I am posting that Matt and I are now 8 months along!!  This pregnancy is still continuing to fly by!!  We had our appointment this week and everything looked good.  I am measuring right at 32 weeks and my blood pressure was 101/61 with a weight gain of 3 lbs.  I am continuing to take my iron pills daily and I think they have definitely helped with the extreme fatigue I was having.  We heard her heartbeat again on Monday. We were laughing at how much she was moving - she doesn't like to be pushed around in there.  Dr. Phillips believes that she is vertex and moving just the way she should to prepare for labor/delivery. (Which I am hoping will be in another 8 weeks - no more, no less!!!)

How far along? 32 weeks

Total weight gain: 19 lbs.

Maternity clothes?  Of course!!

Stretch marks?  No, still crossing my fingers that I don't get any!

Sleep?  One night is good, the next could be bad.  I always wake up remembering my dreams so I'm never getting into a deep sleep.  I will look forward to naps in about 4 weeks, when I go on maternity leave.

Best Moment this Week:  First, would be our appointment.  We're just grateful that everything still looks good.  Second, would be my baby shower!!  I'm still in awe with the great things we received from our wonderful friends.

Miss Anything?  Still missing my normal wardrobe.  I also miss having room in my stomach to eat a regular meal.  I get so full these days from eating the tiniest bit.  There's no room for my food ;)

Movement:  All the time...the staff in my offices are always laughing while watching my clothes move because she is just that active.  She's rolling all the time and I am constantly getting jabbed.  I love it though, it's my little reminder that she's doing good!!

Food Cravings?  Yikes!!!  My most recent craving has been double stuffed oreos.  For some reason, my sweet tooth is beginning to take over!!  I only let myself have two a day though.  I really haven't had cravings at all during this pregnancy, so this Oreo one is strange.

Anything make you quesy?   No

Gender:  GIRL

Labor Signs:  I've started getting braxton-hicks contractions at night.  They've woken me up 3 nights in the past 2 weeks, but for the most part are very mild and only last 15-20 seconds.  Doc says that's completely normal.

Symptoms: I have had a couple of leg cramps and my back is still sore after being in the car for most of the day, but nothing too bad.  I feel like I move slower than I use to (obviously) and wish I had just a little bit more energy.  But, when it's 102 degrees outside, I guess it's normal to feel zapped at the end of the day.

Belly button in or out?  Still pretty flat with a teeny-tiny button poking out.

Wedding ring on or off? On

Happy or Moody?  Happy!!!

Looking forward to:  Our baby shower in Monroe next weekend!!!

A Good Week...

I am working from home today and am so glad to be out of the 105 degree heat.  Central AR has been hit hard the last couple of days with temps being well over 100, and truthfully, when you're 8 months pregnant, it can be miserable at times.  I try not to complain about it because there's nothing I can do to make it better.  :)

We have a very low-key weekend planned.  This mama is starting it out with a haircut, facial, eyebrow wax, manicure, and spray tan.  You have to realize, I am trying to cram all these luxurious appointments in before Reese gets here.  I know that once she arrives there will be no time OR money for me to do these things ;))  Matt and I are looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow and have no plans whatsoever.  Doesn't that sound great?!?!

I have to post a couple of pictures that my mom sent me this week of Baby Jack.  He's growing so much and I can't believe he is 15 days old today!!  I'm looking forward to kissing those little cheeks again soon!!

LOVE!!

This picture of Brynlee holding him cracks me up!!  Oh how she loves her little brother!

Sweet Angel

Cheers to Friday!!!!

A Rockin' Baby Shower

This weekend was our first baby shower for Miss Reese.  All I can say is that I have the most amazing friends who went ALL OUT to throw the most perfect shower for us.  I will let the pictures do most of the talking, however I must say that a couple of highlights were 1) my Mom was able to be in town and I loved spending every minute with her.  2) my Aunt Patti, Aunt Vicki, and cousin Lindsay made the trip from Tulsa as well.  It was so neat to be able to share in such a special day with so many people that I love.  It was WONDERFUL!!

A ring with her name...Aven Reese

And one of my favorite gifts was one that I opened from Matt before we left for the shower.  He bought it especially for his baby girl.

It's her first storybook Bible!

He wrote inside of it.  His words were so sweet and brought tears to my eyes.  What a wonderful Daddy he will be!!!!!
