Girls Weekend in Dallas

The last weekend in February my college roomies and I met in Dallas and stayed 3 nights at the Four Seasons.  We had a great time eating delicious food (loved Rise), shopping, going to a cooking class at Sur La Table, and catching up.  I think this was the last trip that I was able to take before having to cancel all the others before quarantine.  Goodness I love these girls!!

COVID-19

Well, I can honestly say I haven't been blogging because I have been trying to wrap my mind around what is going on in our world today.  The coronavirus has taken over and this virus has rocked everyone's world. I have been working from home now for 8 weeks, the kids have been out of school since March 20th, and Matt is (thankfully) still working. My days are full of conference calls, checking in with customers, trying to home school Reese, and doing my best to entertain Brooks. I'm tired, as I'm sure we all are.  The day that we are able to go back to our normal lives, I will jump for joy.

While we have had to cancel 3 upcoming trips, we've still been trying to have some fun.  These pictures below are not of importance, but I want to look back and remember the things we did during this unprecedented time.

 Zoom Calls with classmates

Pajamas all day and jumping in puddles

My mom is making masks for so many people

Naps with this kid :)

 Playing with neighbors

 Lots of painting

 Reese lost her 3rd tooth!

 More painting...

We've been on a million walks.

This girl has always done well in school, but home schooling has been hard for her.  She misses the interaction with her teacher and friends. We do our best to change up the scenery as best as possible on a daily basis.

Reese lost her 4th tooth!  She actually pulled it herself while I was on a conference call.

 New patio furniture

Thank the Lord for amazing neighbors, like Kim!  She has been the neighborhood hairdresser.

Just smiling through all of Mom's conference calls. :)
