I know blogs really aren’t a thing anymore (some say). However, it’s a place where I want to TRY to continue to document the things that I want to look back and remember years from now. With that being said, my babies keeping growing, and the years are going by faster.
Brooks turned 9 in July. We always celebrate with a family meal at Marketplace. It’s kinda our “thing”. He had a birthday party with a few friends at the house with the Game On truck parked outside. It’s a really fun concept and the kids loved playing video games on the huge screens. And of course, no day would be complete without a football game in the backyard. I truly LOVE how much this boy of mine loves sports. He played flag football this fall, is playing for Prospects travel baseball team this Spring, and I hope we get to try our hand at basketball sooner rather than later. He is still taking piano (and complaining about it every time he has to go) and of course spending more time than I like playing the Xbox (sports games only.) Brooks is getting so tall and is beyond thrilled that he has broken the 60 lb. limit so that he no longer has to sit in a booster seat. My sweet boy, we love you to the moon!
Reese turned 11 in September! She has started middle school this year and is doing so well and really liking it. I'm so proud of her hard work in her studies, but even more proud to hear how her kindness is shown in the classroom daily. This year, on her birthday, the boys had baseball, so she and I went to dinner and to build-a-bear. She asked for pajamas that matched mine for her birthday.
Of course, we went to Marketplace with the crew for her birthday and then she decided on a painting party at Pinspiration with her sweet friends. They all had the best time and it was such a fun place for a party. We immediately headed to the Razorback game afterwards, so it was a FULL DAY! Reese is still taking piano (and not liking it very much), and she's also taking private gymnastics lessons to perfect her back handspring. She's getting so close and working very hard. She wants to play softball in the Spring, so this girl is staying busy. We love you so much Reese and are so proud of the young woman you are starting to become.
