Green Valley Bible Camp - June

One of our favorite weeks of the year is Green Valley Bible Camp!  Reese spent her second year at overnight camp and had a blast. Brooks went to Day Camp because I counseled a few days. Jude, Shep, and Ford also accompanied us every day and it was so fun to listen to those silly boys in the car.

This was an extra special year because Reese was baptized.  Matt baptized her in the GVBC pool after the church devotional on Wednesday, June 4th.  We are so proud of Reese for many things, but above all things we are proud that she has chosen to put on Christ with baptism. I know this means that she will still make many mistakes, but she is covered.  Covered by the blood of the Lamb, and washed clean of her sins. I always tell her and Brooks that the only thing I can take with me from this life to the next is them.  So, as their parents, Matt and I have to make that our number 1 priority  on this earth.

So proud of our girl!  Reese, your dad and I will always be there to cheer you on, to help you, to listen to your struggles, and to pick you up when you fall.  But most importantly, GOD will do that. We love you BIG!!

More of May

There was so much going on in May, that I needed to continue a separate post.  😉

With school coming to a close, I invited myself to go eat with Brooks. Being his last year at Evening Star Elementary (one of my favorite places 😭), we had to go just one more time. I literally cried his last day of school as we pulled out of the parking lot.  A big chapter closed in our family…no more elementary school….  My heart could barely stand it.

Mimi also went to eat with both kiddos.  Brooks at ESE, and Reese at Brightfield.

Brooks had his 4th grade CLAP OUT on the last day of school. I love that ESE celebrates these sweet kids graduating elementary school every year.

Reese, Mimi, Brynlee and Emma Grace came to cheer him on as well.

We celebrated school being out by eating in downtown Rogers with the Sparks @ Parkside. And I had dinner and drinks with the girls.  We’re more than ready for SUMMER!☀️

As always we had our end of the year piano recital and both kids did great.  I’m not sure how much longer I can hang on MAKING them take. Jack and Reese played a duet that was so good.  Reese won an award for getting a superior on her memorization and so did Brooks.

Told them to give me their serious face. 😂

The Garner girls went to see Wicked in Tulsa. I truly think this play might be my favorite Broadway production.
