Christmas Fun

As always, my favorite time of year seems to come and go so quickly. There is something about the fall. I love the change in the cooler weather and I think one of the reasons it’s my favorite season is because there is so much to look forward to. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, time away from work and school, Christmas lights and music… it’s all so wonderful to me.

And then, within the blink of an eye, it’s January 1st. Yes, a new year is exciting, but a part of me is always a little sad to put everything away until next year.  However, we had a lot of fun this year, and made a ton of great memories. First up, our progressive neighbor Christmas party. This is one of my favorite nights of the year.  We always have so much fun!!

Sugar cookie cheesecake🤤

Matt and Dallas, we want this candle for Christmas!!

Our little crew of 4 went to Silver Dollar City on December 22…I love the lights!  I think the kids are getting to the point where they just go because it makes Mom smile. But I will take it, every day I will take it. ❤️

I love them so much!!

Concerts, Recitals, and Friends

This time of year is always fun with the different concerts at school, parties with friends, and one of my favorites (not so much for the kids) is the Christmas piano recital. We adore Ms. Summer and Ms. Miriam and are always thankful for Mimi and Pawpaw being there to cheer their grands on.

Reese also had her winter orchestra concert. She’s been playing the violin this year and has really done a great job learning a new instrument.

Brooks had a weekend in December where he celebrated a few friend’s birthdays at Top Golf and D-Bat.  He ended up having baseball practice on a Sunday afternoon and then came to the boxing event with us for Community Care Day at church. I love that our church encourages all the kids to jump in and help.  Reese wasn’t able to come because she was celebrating her sweet friend, Brynley’s, birthday.

Straight from baseball to boxing night🎁

Reese was celebrating too🎉

Reese also had the sweetest Christmas party at Abbey’s house where the girls wore matching pjs.  I am so thankful for these sweet girls and the friendships they’re building.

Lastly, Brooks had his LAST Christmas party in elementary school. It breaks my heart that after this year we will be closing the door to ESE. He also won the owl award for owning integrity, working as a team, and learning empathy the last week of school before break. So proud of this sweet boy!
