Brooks' First Day of Kindergarten

Again, how are we here?  Kindergarten...really?  You have been excited to start going to Evening Star, yet you are my homebody.  You love being at home with your family, snuggled up on the bed watching movies, and playing games.  Thats why it was very hard on me when you went to school for two days and loved it, yet by the third day cried and didn't want to go back.  Trying to explain to you that this is not what a normal school year looks like has been challenging.  You don't like the masks, but you wear them. However, only being able to eat lunch, go to specials, and play outside with specific people has proved to be tough.  Thankfully, you have an AMAZING teacher, Mrs. West, who has been so wonderful to work with.  I emailed her just letting her know how our mornings had changed and she jumped into action and was able to make some adjustments with the seating in the classroom.  She was able to sit you with other boys, where you tend to thrive.  It was such a positive move and you were much happier the last two days this week.

My prayer for you is the same I have prayed for Reese every day.  I pray that God gives you confidence, peace, and protection. You are going to have a great year Brooks!!  We are so proud of you and love you more than you know.  Now, go ROCK Kindergarten sweet boy!👊
