Brooks' 4th Birthday Party

Our sweet baby boy had his 4th birthday party on July 14th at Fast Lanes this year.  It was his place of choice and he wanted a dinosaur birthday cake.  We played in the play area, enjoyed all the games, ate cake, and opened presents.  I think Brooks-man had a pretty great day!

RHS 20 Year Reunion

On July 21st, we had our 20 year high school reunion.  It was from 7-11 at the Ozark Brewing Co.  I was the person who did a lot of the planning (along with Sarah Parker and Leslie Madick).  We had a DJ (who was awesome), food catered by Whole Hog, a photo booth, and drinks at the bar. We had around 140 people there and it was a BLAST!!  It was so great to see so many of the wonderful people I graduated with.  RHS 1998 really was the BEST class.

VBS and Cousin Camp

Whew!!  Guys, I've got to be honest...last week was exhausting!  We had VBS at our church from Sunday to Wednesday, and our life group was in charge of snacks.  As in, snacks for 250 kids.  And we're not talking throw a couple of Oreos on a plate and serve some milk.  We Pintrest EVERYTHING. It was such a great success and it couldn't have gone better, so the exhaustion was well worth it.  My kiddos also went to Cousin Camp at Mimi's house for 3 days DURING VBS.  So you can imagine just how beat they were... which in turn caused many fits and melt downs.

My Mom (and Dad) are so awesome to do this every year. The kiddos look forward to it more than anything else.  Brooks was back at our house approximately 3 hours before he asked when they were going back. I couldn't be more thankful for such wonderful grandparents who pour so much love and time into my babies.

Firecracker Fourth

We had a great day at the lake on the Fourth of July!!  Unfortunately, Matt had to work, but the kids and I headed down to Dutchman’s Dock for the boat parade and a full day in the sun. The day started with donuts and mimosas. 🥂 We rode with Rick and Jan in their boat for the parade and had the best time.  After the parade, we spent the day swimming, relaxing, playing games and just enjoying the day with friends and family.

We headed home around 3:00 and pretty much crashed. We grilled out that night and watched the fireworks in our neighborhood from our back porch.  It was perfect!
