We went to Kansas City for Fall Break and had the best time. I went to Kansas City when I was a kid (once) and don't remember anything about it, and Matt had never been...so we figured it would be a great place (not too far from home) for us all to adventure. We stayed at the Sheraton at Union Square and drove up on Saturday morning. We had a great day at Legoland and then went to Fritz's for dinner. Brooks was enamored with the trains that delivered the food to every table. He would hardly eat because he was watching them at every stop.
Everybody slept really good Saturday night. Sunday morning, we had breakfast at Panera and then went to the Liberty Memorial. I would've loved to go to the museum, but lets be honest...our kids would've been bored out of their minds. We took in the beautiful view of the city and then headed to the Science City Museum.
The Science City Museum was so much fun. We were there right when it opened and had the place pretty much to ourselves for the first two hours. We then ate lunch in the middle of Union Station, which I found to be absolutely gorgeous.
Reese made a face with her marshmallows and M&M's
Brooks didn't want anything on the menu, just some popcorn from the movie theater downstairs.
That afternoon we went back to the hotel to put our feet up for a little while and take a short nap. We had reservations at Q39 that night in Midtown and it was SOOOO good. There was a Chiefs home game on Sunday, so it was packed with a 2 hour wait. I'm so thankful I made a reservation.
This kid loves a hotel!! :)

Monday morning, we were back at Panera for breakfast. (We kinda love that place) After checking out of our hotel, we were off to the KC Zoo. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. The kids loved the train the best, as well as the African Sky Safari.
After the Zoo, we headed home. I am so thankful for such a wonderful 3 days with my family. We had the best time, made lots of memories, and loved being together.
