The BIG 4-3 for Matt

Our favorite guy had a birthday on January 18 and we were so blessed to spend the whole weekend celebrating him.  We enjoyed a night out for drinks and dinner at Undercroft and Pressroom with dear friends, dinner and a cookie cake with family, and another year to call him ours.  He is the man that I will always love, the best father to our babies, the most compassionate nurse to his patients, our protector, our Christian leader, a loyal friend, and so much more.  Happy Birthday Babe!  We love you and I hope this is your best year yet!

My Beautiful Nana

My Nana, Laferne Caldwell, passed from this world on January 5.  She was a beautiful, amazing soul. I have so many wonderful memories of her throughout my childhood and young adult years.  She was so kind, so loving, so patient, and I remember nothing but sweetness.  It was her wish that at her funeral her four son-in-laws would preside over it.  She thought the world of my dad and my 3 uncles, and loved them as much as she loved her beautiful four daughters.  She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren to date.  Anytime we were all together, it truly felt like a little piece of heaven.  We would laugh, cry, sing, and reminisce of past times.   It's what I imagine eternity will be like in the presence of our Lord.  

My Nana had so much love for her family, but above all she loved the Lord.  She was the perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman and I am so thankful for her faithful example.  I pray I can possess half of the wonderful qualities she did and trust in our God all the days of my life. 

BEST of 2019

January 1, 2020!  How exciting to not only be starting a new and fresh year, but a new decade.  The past decade has been one beautiful and amazing 10 years, full of so many blessings.  As I reflect on this last year, 2019, below are a few of my favorite moments.  

Our favorite guy turned 42.

We started the year with concerts... James Taylor

And we had a blast seeing Alabama in Little Rock! 

Girls trip to Sedona, AZ with my soul mates.  It was heavenly.

I celebrated another year around the sun!

We had the best beach trip with the whole family in Gulf Shores, AL.

Reese graduated Kindergarten. 

We had a wonderful time with cousins in Monroe during the July 4th holiday.

This guy celebrated his 5th birthday!!

Matt and I had the most amazing time celebrating our 10 year anniversary in San Francisco and Sonoma wine country.  It was perfect!

We celebrated this sweet girl turning 7 years old! 

In October, for Fall break, we made a family trip to Kansas City.  It was so much fun. 

Sweet Jude joined our family in November.  Landon and Brandi flew to China and brought this angel boy home.

Thanksgiving was another day of treasuring family and blessings. 

And Christmas, my favorite time of year, was just magical.  

The older that I get, the faster the years fly by.  I am so thankful for a great 2019.  As we begin a new decade, I am prayerful for a healthy and happy 2020.  I pray God's richest blessings on all of us.
