Brynlee Claire Turns 2!!

This weekend was fantastic!!  There was so much going on, I don't know where to begin. :)  We spent the weekend in Rogers, and Kyndall and I drove up on Thursday evening.  We wanted to spend some time going to the craft fairs with Mom on Friday, so off we went.  I don't know if you all have ever heard of the group "Straight No Chaser," but they are absolutely amazing!!  It's a group of 10 guys singing accapella.  If you know anything about my family, it's that we LOVE to sing.  We especially love anything with four-part harmony.  Well, this fabulous group was at the Walton Arts Center on Thursday night, so our entire family (minus Matt, Brynlee and Emma) went to see them.  We had a blast!!!  Below are a couple of snapshots...

Landon and Brandi

They sang songs by Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lauryn Hill, and so many other artists.

Dad, Mom and Kyndall

Friday morning, Mom, Kyndall and I started the day with breakfast at Panera.  Afterwards, Kyndall went and picked up her brand new car (2011 Equinox...VERY nice) and then we went to the craft fairs for a little while.  We enjoyed lunch at the Crumpet Tea Room and then Brandi and the girls met us for some more crafting.

Emma was pretty excited :)

The girls were so good. We had a lot of fun!

Friday night, my better half drove in for the weekend.  Yes, I know it was less than 24 hours, but I was so ready to see him!!  We grabbed pizzas and headed back to the farm for a quiet night. Miss Brynlee got to stay with us and we had quite the slumber party!

She and I sang songs on the way home

Played with sidewalk chalk

I think this picture is beautiful! She is so sweet sitting on the steps of the porch.

Saturday morning it was BIRTHDAY TIME!!  We got a couple of pictures of BC before heading to her party.

Uncle Matt with BC (You can't see her little dress but it was so cute. It had a big 2 on it with her name written across it.)

I love this little munchkin!

It was a Barney themed party...with big Barney footsteps leading to the door

Chocolate/Peanut butter Barney cake

Emma was having fun too (her cheeks are my favorite)

Beautiful family of four

Kayla drove in from Tulsa and Jolene was there with her crew too.

And of course this is where ALL the men were, watching the HOGS game

Couldn't you just eat her up?

The Honea's got BC a birthday tutu which she loved!

Me and Kayla Beth

The birthday party was a BIG HIT and Brandi and Landon did a great job of putting it on.  Brynlee was surrounded by so many people who love her.  Once again, these are the days that I thank God for.  Family and friends are priceless in a world where we are so busy and are pulled in so many directions.  It's refreshing to step outside of the world of work, computers, school, and every day activities and just enjoy making memories on special days like this one.

Matt and I took a couple of pictures at Mom and Dad's just because...

Hope your week is not as crazy as mine is going to be!

Birthdays, Engagements, and Everything In Between...

This past week flew by!!  Matt had his last rounds of OB clincials and I have been getting all my targets ready for our launch, so I guess it was because we were so busy!  I will say that even though the work week went by quickly, I was thrilled to see the weekend come.  Sadly, last weekend we missed Sarah's big night out for her birthday since we were out of town, so below are a couple of pictures of some of us taking her out for a belated birthday dinner on Tuesday night at Ciao Baci.

Matt and I started our weekend on Friday night with a date night at Bravo.  We had never eaten there before, but walked in and loved the atmosphere.  Kyndall met us up there to eat on the patio.  It was VERY good and I can tell it will be one more restaurant we add to our list to frequent :)

The weather was perfect!!

Saturday morning was so productive!  Matt spent most of the time studying (big test tomorrow) but I got a good run in, had all the house work done and got to spend the morning watching game day.  My parents were heading our way on Saturday afternoon to help Kyndall move out of her apt. and into her new house (she and Charla are renting the cutest house in the Heights), so Matt and I headed over to her house to help rake some leaves and help with some housework.  Of course we all took time out to catch the worst game the HOGS have played this year, but after the Razorbacks won, we were back to helping Mom and Dad with last minute stuff.  Kyndall's house looks great!!  Dad was very sweet to treat us all to Cantina Laredo for dinner and margaritas afterwards!!  YUM!!!  After dinner, Matt and I went home to clean up and headed to Thom and Tara's Engagement Party that was downtown on one of the rooftops.  It was perfect weather again and we were excited to celebrate such a sweet couple.

The view was great

Blessed to have such good friends

This morning we took Mom and Dad to YaYa's for brunch.  I never get tired of that place :)  Afterwards, they worked on a couple more things and then left for Rogers.  I love it when my parents come and visit, even if it's only for less than 24 hours.  They are so selfless and take time out of their schedule to come and take care of their kiddos whenever it's necessary.  I truly believe that I have the BEST PARENTS IN THE WORLD!!

After they left, Matt went back to some serious studying and I went to check out the brand new ANTHROPOLOGIE that opened up on Chenal.  Talk about exciting...I was there for at least an hour.

These stores are always pretty big and this one didn't disappoint. Below are a couple of things I couldn't say no to...   :)

Perfectly casual

Just for a cold day...

Love the military look

This set up was in the store today and although I was looking for clothes, I adore their home furnishings.

It was a great weekend with lots going on and we were blessed to be able to share it with so many of those we love.  It's going to be a super busy week, but I am off work Friday and looking forward to a long weekend in Rogers.  Between concerts, craft fairs, friends&family, and Brynlee's birthday party, there is bound to be a lot of fun!!!  Hope everyone has a very blessed week!!

NWA Wedding Weekend

Once again, we have been on the go this weekend.  But what a great weekend it was!!!  Matt and I headed to Fayetteville for Curt and Sara Davis's wedding.  Matt grew up with Curt in Monroe so their families are really close. Matt's parents, Emily (his sister) and Olivia Kate (our 5 year old niece) all made the trip too.  We all stayed at my parents house on Friday.  Landon and Brandi brought the girls up, we grilled out, played outside and had a great time together.  Matt and I are so blessed that our parents are so similar. They get along great and have set such an example for us in living for the Lord.

Saturday morning we slept in and enjoyed a BIG breakfast with everybody. (It was very good mom, as always:)  Afterwards, Dad and I took everyone down to Roaring River to the fish hatchery.  He knew Olivia Kate would love it, and I'm pretty sure it was a HIT.

Feeding the fish with Uncle Matt

Olivia Kate is getting so tall. I love this little girl!

Saturday afternoon before the wedding, Emily, Andree', Olivia Kate and I ran to the promenade to shop for a quick bit.  It wasn't very long, but we had a good time.  We had a room at the Embassy Suites in Rogers on Saturday night and left for the wedding at 4:45 (with all those crazy bikers in town for Bikes, Blues and BBQ we wanted to allow plenty of time to get there). It was a beautiful wedding at the Botanical Gardens.  Congratulations to Curt and Sara!!

The happy couple

My Prince Charming

Brent, Joe and Matt...trouble!

Sarah, Jeni and I

I love this picture!!  Olivia Kate was my dance partner for most of the night!  I did get Matt out there a couple of times though (against his own will :)  He was a trooper!

After the wedding, we had a big crew go down to Eddie Haskell's across from the Embassy for a little while and I ran into one of my favorite people, Lindsey Honea.  We got to catch up and it was so great to see her.  We left Rogers after a big breakfast this morning and have been home for a couple of hours now and Jovie was pretty excited to see us.

Just chillin on the couch with dad

We are so glad to be home.  We're trying to get ready for another busy week.  Is it bad that I am already looking forward to Friday?!
