Fourth of July in Monroe

This year, we drove to Monroe to spend the Fourth of July with Matt's family.  I absolutely LOVE going to see them all.  Cousins play together, we get to see Matt's old friends, we sit out on the patio by the bayou visiting with his Mom and Dad, while enjoying good wine and great food.  It really doesn't get much better!  I wish we could get down there more than twice a year, and hopefully we'll be able to once the kiddos get a little older.  However, this July, we had the BEST TIME!

Our first day there, we noticed Brooks had a horrible rash on his legs while we were changing his clothes.  Long story short, we took him to the Urgent Care Clinic and he had strep throat and an HSP rash that was probably the worst rash I've ever seen.  It was all over his legs, arms, and a little bit on his face.  It looked like bruises and hives and was painful to him.  My heart was breaking in this picture, and I am so grateful we took him in to start steroids and antibiotics.  Besides Reese having RSV when she was 5 months, I've never been so scared. Still thanking God for complete healing.
