Our sweet girl had her tonsils and adenoids removed on July 12. There’s nothing that will make a Mama worry more than having to put your sweet baby under anesthesia for the first time. I’m so thankful for Dr. Putman who did a fantastic job during the surgery. Recovery was rough for a few days, as they said it would be for 10-14 days. We are three weeks out from the surgery, and Reese is doing great! 🙌🏻
People ask if she had them removed because of strep throat, but actually the reason we had them taken out is because of sleep apnea. Reese would snore so loud and would hold her breath/stop breathing for 5-10 seconds and then gasp for air. Her tonsils were VERY enlarged and always have been. It was a positive experience for us and I am so glad it’s behind us.
She felt good enough to go and get a haircut after 4 days.
I stayed home with her for four days after surgery, and she felt good enough to go eat lunch at Chuy's on day 6.

I think it's safe to say she's now ready for 1st grade!
